NOTES

  1. Burial recorded 8th February 1638 (recorded as 1637 in the old calendar)
  2. With so much of the will indecipherable, it is hard to know who this person was other than the fact that she was Margaret Illerea, she had married to a man named John Kelly, and she had at least two daughters
  3. This Margaret might have been the daughter of Donald McYlvaye, who die 1631, and daughter Margaret was made executrix. If that were the case, then she was of the Dollough Mylrea clan, and the sister of Donald Mylrea who died in 1620, naming his sister Margaret as one of the supervisors of his children. However, untangling the Mylrea family lines is impossible from the distance of 400 years, and without the aid of documentss, such as parish records and wills
  4. Annas arrett/Cannell who ie in 1602 name two children - John and Margaret
  5. A Margery Kelly was born to a Jon Kelly in Ballaugh in 1634; no record of a son
  6. The John Mclerea of Ballaquylla is probably John Mylrea of Ballacooiley, who died in 1636. However, that will makes no mention of a Margaret, only a sister Ellin. The only documented Margaret Mylrea was the daughter of Donald of the Dollough & Annas his wife, and mentioned in both wills
